Use thin logs:

Use up to 3 thin logs, and they should be dry.

If the firewood is wet:

You can place it on the plancha overnight to take advantage of the residual heat, so that in the morning the wood is drier.

Do not light with:

Plastic bottles, nylon bags, or any plastic in general.

Put out smoldering firewood:

Put the wood in a metal container with ash and the fire will go out.
