Echeveria ‘Pink Edge’ Succulent
🌿 Description:
Echeveria ‘Pink Edge’ is a beautiful rosette-forming succulent known for its smooth, fleshy, blue-green leaves that are outlined with a striking pink margin. The pink edges become brighter when the plant is exposed to strong sunlight or during cooler months, giving it a lovely two-tone appearance. It’s a hybrid Echeveria, popular for both indoor and outdoor decoration due to its neat, symmetrical rosette shape.
🌞 Light Requirements
· Sunlight: Needs bright light or full sun for several hours daily.
· If grown indoors, place it near a south- or east-facing window.
· More sunlight enhances the pink edge color.
💧 Watering
· Follow the “soak and dry” method: water thoroughly, then allow soil to dry completely before watering again.
· Overwatering can lead to root rot.
· Reduce watering in winter, when the plant’s growth slows down.
🌱 Soil
· Use well-draining succulent or cactus mix.
· You can add perlite or coarse sand to improve drainage.
· Avoid heavy or compact soil.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity
· Prefers 18–27°C (65–80°F).
· Protect from frost (below 10°C / 50°F).
· Low humidity is ideal—avoid misting.
🌼 Fertilization
· Feed with a diluted succulent fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring–summer).
· No feeding is necessary in winter.
🌸 Propagation
· Easily propagated through leaf cuttings, offsets, or stem cuttings.
· Allow cuttings to callous for a day or two before planting.
🌿 General Care Tips
· Remove any dead or dried leaves from the base to prevent pests.
· Avoid water sitting on the rosette; it may cause rot.
· Rotate the pot occasionally for even growth.
