Technicians: Committed to Quality and Service

Image
At the heart of the Mirador Project are technicians who work tirelessly to build Two by Three stoves for communities in need in Honduras and Guatemala. These technicians are highly trained and passionate about their work.

Each technician undergoes training at the Mirador Project headquarters for 2 to 3 days, where they practice the construction of mud and brick stoves. (Each stove can be easily disassembled and reused for the next round of practice.) After completing their training, they go into the field where, during the initial days, the stoves they build are inspected by the team's lead builder.

They use various tools to help standardize construction and reduce the time required for measurements.

Despite inclement weather, muddy roads, and remote locations that make it challenging and difficult to reach their destinations, they always make an extra effort for the beneficiaries of the Mirador Project.

With every stove they build, they provide a practical and affordable solution for people who need to cook with less firewood, without smoke, and with more cooking power.

I am grateful to work at Proyecto Mirador, as a technician I feel honored to witness the positive impact that a Two by Three stove has had on the lives of the beneficiaries and the environment."
